Bravo, Brother Mark,

We are in the time of America's last call. Constant talking points of the socialist government officials are heard on the news daily of gov't. possession of bad mortgages, wealth redistribution, negation of true marriage, increased laws against gun ownership by law abiding citizens and antagonism to Christianity and free speech (Joe the Plumber's life has been aggravated because of the question of excessive taxes to small businesses). The U.N. has been pressing politicians to abolish the 2nd amendment (it's not their business). For a muslim takeover, there must be no guns in the hands of law abiding citizens.
The conclusion: Be washed daily with the water of the Word. Take to the prayer closet as if your life depends upon it, for it does . . . don't be caught in a spiritual slumber. Next get your concealed carry permit. I'll see you at the range.

We need to study Prophecy as He said to do, in order to understand
the true URGENCY of Watching as He said to do. We are living in the END TIMES! The last days of man's rule over man. Teach the True Gospel!
That's your Father's Business. If your denomination has added anything to
that message of Salvation or taken away anything from it You probably are not saved and your father is Satan the devil and you need to come out of
his counterfeit church building and into the Body Of Christ. Not saying this is the case for you, but we need to evaluate ourselves to see if we have not been fooled by Satan into trying to work out our salvation with WORKS instead of trusting in His FINISHED WORK on the cross.
Eph 2:8-9 If your are not watching and too busy doing works, He will come at a time you are not watching. Well, I told you. That's my Father's Business.
God Bless,
BrotherMark

Thank you for the verse in 1 Corinthians and promise that God will complete everything. The NLT says (at the end of that verse) that "...nothing you do for the Lord is useless." That's a very direct atatement.

I certainly appreciate all your comments, seeker - thank you for continuing to read & post comments! You can see that I deliberately stayed away from the aspects of Jesus' second coming that tend to end up in fruitless arguments and arrogant "theologizing." You quoted two veses about "groaning" for our eternal home, and I hear some groaning in what you have shared, for the kingdom of God to be on earth as it is in heaven. for churches and Christians to be true reflections of the God they serve, and for you to know your place in God's will. I hope as you groan and search for your place that you listen again to 1 Corinthians 15:58. Ever little labor for the Lord is not in vain, not just because it sounds nice, but because He is coming again and will complete the good works that have been begun in and through you. May this encourage you to find more little ways to join God in bringing His kingdom of love, reconciliation, justice, and peace to this world.

After studying the book of Revelation I was more confused than ever about Jesus' return and the other topics of Revelation. I at least learned more about Jesus' character and how amazingly merciful He is even in His judgment. I love the verse you quoted (Rev. 22:20-21) but not when I was a newer Christian, when it didn't make sense to me. I think I love it now because "we groan inwardly as we wait eagerly our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies," (Ro. 8:23) and "we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling," (2 Cor. 5:2) which I translate as we are longing for the end of sin, tears, death and for the completion of our salvation. As for doing the Father's will now--personally, I feel adrift without much purpose or vision for God's kingdom work. I was advised to just "do something" to serve God. I like to blog here because I can anonymously be honest...and I hope in time to see more bloggers here responding to each other, etc.
