Eric,

I have prayed for you and your wife today.

Thanks for being a Christ follower that will take personal tragedy and turn it around to minister to others in a transparent and authentic way.

Know that you are loved,

My loss was not as physical as yours nor as devastating as the loss of life of a child can be. However, I have experienced a loss this week of a professional relationship with a student who means a great deal to me as I worked with him for the betterment of his education. He had autism but is very bright and fit right in with the regular ed first graders. I worked with him for almost two years helping him do everything that he should be doing academically. He was transferred out of my care into a less qualified person's because I didn't speak Spanish but she did and so did his parents. I have a Bachelors in education and a Masters in reading. It didn't matter that his teachers spoke English and he spoke better English than Spanish. Grief knows no bounds and can be experienced in any situation. The pain goes from sorrow, to anger, to crying, to emptiness to acceptance and the cycle keeps going on. Thank you, Jesus, that somewhere in our pain, Your Hand is there to pull us up and the sense we try to make of our loss is also there for us to find if not soon then sometime in the future. The loss you experienced and the testimony that Michelle shared with our group on that momentous Friday night touched me so deeply. It was God's way of preparing me for my loss to come the following Friday. Thank you Michelle for the strength you showed and the great example you gave me to accept my loss. I still cry when I think of my situation and then I can be reminded of yours and offer a prayer for your strength as you go through your grief.

Dear Eric:

I pray you and your family feel the arms of Jesus around you as you grieve, and that you experience the truth that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with "sighs too deep for words," (Romans 8:26).

Your brother in Jesus,
Michael

Eric,

I'm so sorry to hear the news. We suffered a miscarriage last year, and can identify with your pain and loss.

May God be your strength and comfort.

We just heard about your growing church in So. Glastonbury and about the loss of your baby at the same time. Such mixed emotions. We are very sad for your loss and appreciate your being so open in sharing. If there is anything we can do, let us know.

We are hoping to come visit 'New Life' in the near future with Jen (Michelle is in her 3rd year @ Cedarville). Jen was just baptized at Lakeside a couple of weeks ago.

We will pray for continued support for you and your family as well as continued peace from God. We miss you.
